Fairport Construction Bucks

The Fairport Perinton Merchants Association, Fairport Office of Community and Economic Development and the Fairport Perinton Partnership are combatting ongoing Main Street roadwork with “Construction Bucks.” The economic development initiative begins Saturday, July 26 and is a cash-equivalent reward program geared to encourage people to shop local during the disruption. Over 25 Fairport village businesses are on board and the program is expected to generate more than $50,000 in direct sales.

The program works similarly to other rewards programs. Shoppers can earn $1 in Construction Bucks for every $10 they spend at participating merchants. In addition, shoppers can earn up to 10 Construction Bucks per transaction, while supplies last. Construction bucks can be redeemed like cash at any participating business through November 1, 2025.
