Town of Perinton Revises & Adds Requirements For Peddlers

The Town of Perinton has completed their update of the peddler requirements.

Perinton Town Clerk Janelle Reed says The “Town of Perinton’s Peddlers Permit Program, designed to give our residents peace of mind when someone comes to their door.”

New requirements include that all peddlers pass a fingerprint-based background check, be approved by the  Safety & Security Department, and wear a visible Town-issued ID badge.

If someone knocks and doesn’t have a visible badge, please ask to see it. And as always, trust your instincts. If something feels off, call 9-1-1.
